Summer EMT Class

SOUTHBURY — Southbury Ambulance Association will offer a daytime summer EMT class, scheduled to run Mondays through Thursdays, July 11 to August 19.

The class is open to ages 16 and up. Classes will meet 8 am to 2 pm.

The 145-hour course will prepare students for the State of Connecticut practical examination and the National Registry of EMTs written examination. Students will be certified in CPR and AED.

The course also includes ten clinical hours observing on actual ambulance calls, a textbook, stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, and test preparation exam assistance.

Certified EMTs work in private, municipal, and volunteer ambulance services, hospitals and fire departments.
