Michaela Nowacki

Nowacki, who just completed eighth grade, is a shot put and discus competitor on the Newtown Hawks Intermediate/ Middle School Hawks track team. She won the Western Connecticut Conference championship in both events.

Favorite part about competing: Throwing as far as she can.

Toughest aspect: “Remembering all of the steps and getting it to work out in the end.”

When she’s not throwing: Plays basketball.

Favorite subject: Science.
