Bethel Woman Arrested On Burglary/Larceny Charges

Newtown police report they arrested a Bethel woman on a warrant on June 17 charging her with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny in connection with an incident last January in Hawleyville,

Police said they arrested Tiffany Pirc, 29, on the charges and held her on bail for an arraignment that day in Danbury Superior Court.

The police investigation into the matter stemmed from a January 25 complaint from an Old Bethel Road man that his house had been the target of a burglary/larceny on January 24, when Pirc allegedly entered it in committing the crime. When confronted by that resident, Pirc had allegedly stated that she was a pet sitter who had mistakenly entered the wrong address for a pet sitting job.

Pirc has burglary, larceny, and conspiracy charges pending against her which were filed by Bethel police. Pirc also has pending burglary, larceny, and drug charges which were lodged against her by Danbury police.

Pirc was being held this week on $100,000 bail at York Correctional Institution in Niantic for July 6 appearance in Danbury Superior Court on the various charges.
