Alexandra Mavelli & Joshua Doyon

Alexandra Shoun Mavelli, 26, daughter of Jeffrey and Dominique Mavelli of Newtown and Houston, Tex., and Joshua Lucien Doyon, 28, son of Gaston and Julie Doyon of Turner, Maine, are engaged to be married. The couple both live in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Alexandra is a 2003 graduate of Canterbury School in New Milford. She holds a bachelor’s from Connecticut College, and a master’s from University of Colorado. She is a member of the history faculty at The Fountain Valley School of Colorado.

Joshua earned a bachelor’s degree from St Michael’s College, and is working to complete his master’s at Boise State University. He, too, is on the history faculty at The Fountain Valley School.

Alexandra and Joshua met in 2007, when they were both on the faculty at The Canterbury School in New Milford. They will return to the school for their wedding, and plan to be married in The Chapel at Our Lady at Canterbury School, by Pastor Amanda Warner of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Brookfield. A reception at Candlelight Farms Inn in New Milford is also planned.
