Overall, Marcus is just a nice kid, fun, positive, polite, and nice to those around him. Also, the sport embraced him. After our first meet, his times spread throughout the conference and by the second or third dual meet, everything would stop when he ran. I have never before seen athletes from other teams running to the finish line to see what time someone on another team ran. At Masuk, when he ran 47.9 in the 400, I thought the finish line officials were going to get trampled by everyone running over.
