Newtown Blue 6, Clinton 5 â Marnie Thompson had two goals and two assists to lead Newtown Blue. Meredith LaPerch had two goals and Sam Dinnan had a goal and an assist. Kaitlin Brophy scored a goal while Kayley Kruger and Meghan Rockwell each had an assist.
Southbury 8, Newtown Blue 3 â Rachel Fatse made seven saves in a tough game for the Blues. Marnie Thompson scored twice, and Sam Dinnan once. Bridget Fenerty and Kaitlin Brophy each had key intercepts for Newtown, but it wasnât enough.
Old Lyme 6, Newtown Blue 2 â Sam Dinnan and Kaitlin Brophy were the only Blues to score in another tough test for Newtown.
Newtown Blue 8, Glastonbury 2 â Marnie Thompson (three goals) and Kaitlin Brophy (two goals) provided the bulk of the Newtown offense. Kat Donohue. Sam Dinnan, and Bridget Fenerty also scored goals. Assists were by Michelle Siladi (two), Thompson (one), and Meaghan Gibbons (one). Rachel Fatse made three saves and Kayley Kruger scooped up five ground balls.
Newtown Gold â The Newtown Gold rolled over its competition at season ending Camel Jam in New London, defeating East Lyme (10-2), the Seals (6-1), St. Bernards (6-0) and Glastonbury (4-1). The team defense was outstanding as the locals limited the competition to 12 shots on goal the entire day! Molly Murtha, Hannah Glasrud, Keegan Frobey, Annie Fletcher, and Steph Suhoza anchored the D while midfielders Betsy Vendel, Meghan Bridges, Lisa Vendel, and Brittany Wiberg played well. Jackie Isabella (6 saves) and Nicole Waterhouse (2 saves) shared time between the pipes. Betsy Vendel and Meg Kelly led the way with six goals each on the afternoon while Lisa Vendel (4), Waterhouse (3), Frobey, Glasrud, Devon Ferris, Kara Brown, Fletcher and Suhoza all scored.

The Newtown 5th/6th grade girls team won six of eight games at the Camel Jam at Connecticut College on June 18.
