New Facility Brings Faith And Fun
 Under One (Large) Roof
NEW MILFORD â Can a movie theater or a cappuccino/ice cream shop be part of a church? They can at Faith Church in New Milford. After 20 years of building a community of faith, the 1,500-member church has constructed a unique 80,000-square-foot facility on Route 7.
The grand opening will be at 10 am on Sunday, June 26.
Faith Churchâs new space is designed to incorporate church life with family life. The sanctuary seats 1,405, and classrooms are fully interactive. There is an arcade, a movie theater, a coffee and ice cream shop, a bookstore, computer labs, a prep school, a Fun Zone, and a gym.
Rev Frank Santora, pastor of Faith Church, considers the new building âa reflection of our commitment to the community. We want to create a safe environment for the whole family beyond Sunday morning.â
To that end, Faith Church has intentionally created spaces where both prayer and play can flourish. Outreach, too. In addition to opening its facilities to the community, Faith Church will reach out with after-school programs such as homework tutoring, computer help, and recreational activities.
Worship services at Faith Church feature a spirited mix of popular music, dramatic sketches, and video productions. People are encouraged to come as they are â not just in comfortable clothing, but also with their questions.
âHere, people explore their faith and their doubts without fear of being judged,â explains Mr Santora. âWe donât want a double standard of people acting differently on Sunday mornings than any other time of the week. Thatâs why the churchâs motto for this new experience is âWeâre here for you!ââ
