Mangarella Receives Certification

Sandy Hook resident Charles J. Mangarella, a supply chain management executive for DRS Power & Control Technologies in Danbury, has received the designation of Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM).

Mr Mangarella has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut. He is a member of the Connecticut Association of Purchasing Management, Inc. (CAPM) and the Institute for Supply Management (ISM).

CAPM is an association of more than 500 purchasing and supply management professionals from the service, government, industrial, and retail sectors within the State of Connecticut and is affiliated with the ISM. The certification program is administered by ISM and has established standards by which the education and experience levels of people in the purchasing and supply management field can be measured. Those who meet the standards and who pass a 4-module examination earn the CPM title and must become recertified every 5 years.
