 Middlebury — The Entrepreneur’s Source and Banknorth will hold a no-cost early morning seminar called “Exploring Self-Employment” on Wednesday, June 29, from 7:30 to 8:45, at the Middlebury branch of Banknorth, 503 Middlebury Road.

Topics will include the discussion of the market, myths, and misperceptions of self-employment, challenges of business ownership, inside-out look at franchises, and how one should approach a change in one’s career.

Speakers will include Steve Lehman, Tim Stubbs, and Joe Tarshis from The Entrepreneur’s Source, Newtown, and Lori-Ann Gonzales, Banknorth’s assistant vice president of business development.

The seminar will focus on career changes that the average person will embark upon several times during his or her lifetime. “People often look for something different, hoping to gain greater control over their lives. However, the prospect of owning a business can be overwhelming, and most people end up abandoning their dream,” said Mr Stubbs.
