Charles A.        Baldour, Sr

Charles A. Baldour, Sr, 83, of Southbury, beloved husband of Betty Eileen Carr Baldour, died June 19 at Waterbury Hospital.

In addition to his wife, Mr Baldour is survived by a devoted son, Charles A. Baldour, Jr, and his wife, Cynthia, of Sandy Hook; and two cherished grandchildren, Charles D. and Austin Baldour of Sandy Hook.

Born in Manhattan on February 3, 1922, to Charles A. Baldour and Katherine Hicks, Mr Baldour graduated from Columbia University and Julliard School of Music. He served in the United States Army during World War II.

Upon leaving the service, he and Betty Carr performed many musicals with the greats of the era including Oscar Peterson and Nat King Cole. The two married in 1945.

In later years he was a production manager for ABC Sports, working among other projects all of the Olympic Games from 1972 to 1988.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial and interment will be private.

The Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike (Route 111), Monroe, has been entrusted with arrangements.
