Blood Pressure Screenings June 29

Free blood pressure screenings will be held in Newtown on Wednesday, June 29.

The Ashlar of Newtown Nursing Department will sponsor a blood pressure screening from 10 am to noon at the Cyrenius H. Booth Library on Main Street. A registered nurse will conduct the screening.

The Danbury Visiting Nurse Association will hold a free screening at the Senior Center on Riverside Road from 1 to 2 pm.

The Connecticut Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) will hold a blood pressure screening at Nunnawauk Meadows on Nunnawauk Road from 11 am to noon.

The public is invited to all of the free screenings.

Newtown PD said they weren't releasing the name pending investigation, which will also include whether the driver was potentially speeding/distracted - or whether it was just a terrible accident.
