Auditions For Norwalk Youth Symphony

NORWALK — The Norwalk Youth Symphony is currently accepting applications for students entering grades 5-12 wishing to audition for its 2005-06 season. The symphony’s 50th anniversary kick-off will take place on April 7, 2006.

Auditions run from August 27 through September 6 with different instruments playing on different days. They will be held at Norwalk City Hall, 125 East Avenue in Norwalk. The application deadline is July 1, 2005, and there is a non-refundable application fee of $15.

Norwalk Youth Symphony (NYS) is comprised of approximately 250 students from 21 towns throughout Fairfield, New Haven, Litchfield and Westchester counties, including members this year from Newtown and Sandy Hook.
