Jacquelyn D. Ritch Stiles, 87, of Newtown died peacefully on June 22, at Masonicare at Newtown. She was born November 18, 1929, in Kingston, N.Y., and was one of six children of Ruth Newkirk and E. Atlee Ritch. She was a Newtown resident since 1972.The Newtown Bee     June 30, 2017

After graduating from Norwalk High School she worked for many years at the Norwalk Library. In 1962 she married John Stiles. Upon moving to Newtown Mrs Stiles worked for many years at the Town of Newtown Tax Assessor's Office.

She was an avid birdwatcher and was a master of Word Jumbles and crossword puzzles. Her dedication to her grandchildren and family was amazing; she simply adored watching her grandchildren grow up.

Her daughter Carolyn Stiles Arneth and son-in-law Gavin Arneth; her son Russell Stiles; and her two grandchildren, Molly and Danny Arneth, all of Sandy Hook, survive Mrs Stiles. She was predeceased by her husband.

Funeral Services will take place Monday, June 26, at 11 am, in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Interment will follow in Newtown Village Cemetery. Friends may call Monday morning, after 10 am, prior to the service.
