Masonicare at Newtown will host a farmers market between the hours of 5 and 7 pm Wednesday, July 13, at 139 Toddy Hill in Newtown.

The public is invited to shop for produce picked locally at their peak season, available at reasonable prices while supporting local and regional farmer.

The market is being sponsored by Morrison Community Living and Hartford Fresh Point Produce. For this event, the farmers market will be accepting cash or check only.

Following the market, Masonicare at Newtown will also host one of its Summer Sounds Concert Series performances. The Vinny & Ray Orchestra will be performing on July 13, beginning at 7 pm.

The public is invited to remain at Masonicare after their visit to the farmers market for the free outdoor concert, or plan to arrive in time for the music.

BYO seating. In the event of rain, the concert will be postponed to July 14.
