Paintings And Sculpture At Roxbury Library
ROXBURY â Vincent Baldassano of Oxford and Bob Keating of Bridgewater will exhibit their recent work at Minor Memorial Library, 23 South Street, beginning Saturday, July 8.
Mr Baldassanoâs paintings will be on display through Monday, August 14, and Mr Keatingâs sculpture may be viewed through Monday, September 18.
The library is open Saturdays, 10 am to 2 pm; Mondays, noon to 7 pm; Wednesdays, 10 am to 7 pm; and Thursdays and Fridays, 10 am to 5 pm.
The public is invited to meet the artists at an opening reception on Saturday, August 5, from 2 to 4 pm.
Mr Baldassanoâs brightly colored works included mixed media paintings containing collage, oils, and encaustic paintings, which employ an ancient technique first used in Greece and Egypt. The recipient of many prizes and grants including a Fulbright, Mr Baldassano has shown his work at Hammond Museum in North Salem, Silvermine Guild Galleries in New Canaan, and at other venues in New York City and around the country.
Mr Keatingâs sculptures are centerpieces of many important private collections, including those of Mia Farrow and the late Skitch Henderson. He has shown his work at galleries throughout the Northeast, most recently at Silvermine Guild Galleries.
