Wine Tasting An Overwhelming

Success

To the Editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped make SHOP’s first Wine Tasting/Silent Auction a success. The generosity shown by all who attended was overwhelming.

Special thanks to Gary Seri of the Stone River Grille, who donated the room and food for the event. Thank you also to Msgr Robert Weiss, State Representative Chris Lyddy, and First Selectman Pat Llodra for donating your time to be the “live” part of the silent auction. Thanks also to I-95 radio, Jensen Tire and Automotive, Associated Refuse, Phoenix Limousine, Newtown Florist, Newtown Youth Academy, Snap Fitness, The Little Gym, Arrow Aviation, and Daniel O’Grady, Esq for generous donations to our silent auction.

Thanks also to all the SHOP members who donated to the auction and to Sharon Doherty and the event committee for pulling this together on short notice. Thanks to Shannon and Kendra at The Bee and Christine at Patch for covering the event. And an extra special thanks to John Voket, for donating his musical talent to the event. We are all looking forward to next year already!
