WBDC Hosting Volunteer Open House, Kayak Networking
SHELTON â During economic hard times client demands for financial and entrepreneurial services have risen and volunteers are needed more than ever. Time and dedication from volunteers can make a significant difference to a nonprofit agency and its clients.
The Womenâs Business Development Council (WBDC), the leader of entrepreneurial and financial training for women in Connecticut, will be hosting a volunteer open house on June 28 from 12:30 to 2 pm, at 2 Enterprise Drive, Suite 303.
A light lunch will be served.
Join WBDC in Shelton and learn about the numerous volunteer opportunities that exist for experienced professionals who have the desire to dedicate their time to helping others and become a part of an organization who believes in economic self reliance and job creation.

In addition, WBDC will be holding an event on Tuesday, June 26, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. The event will take place at Down Under Kayaking, 575 Riverside Avenue, Westport.
The council and member Kim Beaumont, owner of Down Under Kayaking, are hosting an evening dedicated to kayaking and conversation. Complimentary stand up paddling and kayaking lessons are free to all those that attend.
Lessons will begin at 5:30 pm. Admission is free for WBDC members and $10 for guests. Food will be provided by WBDC member Susan Kane of Susan Kane Catering.
