Thank You And Goodbye

To the Editor:

Thank you and goodbye to all the Newtown bus owner-operators. You will be sorely missed! Special thanks to Phil Carroll for always going above and beyond to make the children’s bus experience a fun and safe one. So many people feel this is a mistake and that Newtown has been severely punished by the board’s decision to make this change in a very questionable chain of events.

The money saved in the long run seems hardly worth the time, trouble, and financial insecurity to our Newtown owner-operator residents. I hope you win your case and that the unfair contract awarded to the strangers is overturned. I wish we were saying goodbye to Janet Robinson instead.
