Since its inception in 2009 the NICE program has had more than 100 students, teachers, and administrators participate in the study tour program to China, visiting a sister school in Liaocheng. For the 2012-13 school year the program will be expanded
Since its inception in 2009 the NICE program has had more than 100 students, teachers, and administrators participate in the study tour program to China, visiting a sister school in Liaocheng. For the 2012-13 school year the program will be expanded to Japan and possibly France, according to the NICE PCO. Students are selected to go abroad based on academic and leadership criteria as well as a commitment to sharing their global experience with other students. The students, teachers, and administrators pay their own way to participate in the program each year. The donations will ensure that anyone that is selected to participate can through scholarship funding.
The NICE program is solely funded by grants and donations from individuals, nonprofit organizations, and corporations, according to the NICE PCO.
