A small but lively crowd came to play in this month’s 1 day Member Guest. Winners of the gross score was Bob Tendler and his son Jared, shooting a 2 under 68. Jared Tendler posted his own 1 under 69. On the net side, Lou Rosamilia and his guest Michael Kot broke away from the field shooting a 12 under 58.

Newtown High Awards

Rock Ridge held a season ending banquet for the Newtown High golfers. Winning MVP Award was captain Brian LeBlanc who also earned All Division honors. Rookie of the Year went to freshman phenom Tommy Rahr, who earlier this year posted a 1 over 37. Last but not least, senior Michael Mossbarger who became a team leader and great teammate won Most Coachable honors.

Father’s Day ABCD

It was a Happy Father’s day for all that were able to participate in the Fathers Day ABCD tourney. A 2 best ball format gave way to some fierce competition throughout the day. Coming in first for gross was the team of Mike Portnoy, AJ Cappelli, Tom Hislop, and Len Calbo Sr, shooting a great score of 141. Cappelli shot a career-best 74 to help his team win. Net action came down to a scorecard playoff, and the back 9 was used to determine the winner. With a score of 124, Chris D’Amico, Graham Fyffe, Charles Nemetz, and Joel Ratner earned the victory.
