Estelle K. Moulketis

Estelle “Babe” K. Moulketis, 88, a lifelong Stamford resident, died June 12, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 7, 1923, in Stamford, to Peter N. and Rose M. Pellicci Karukas.

She is survived by a cherished sister, Barbara Murphy, and her husband James, of Newtown; her loving son, Dr Thomas C. Moulketis, and his wife Melissa, of Fairfield; two beloved grandchildren; as well as dear cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Charles J. Moulketis and their daughter Kathryn Moulketis Carlucci.

She worked as a legal secretary for Cummings and Lockwood, and after raising her children, at Technomic Publishing, Inc, and Sidney Stanton, Inc. Her latest and final position was as the administrative assistant to Charles E. Bradley, CEO of Starwich Partners, Inc, a post she held for more than 30 years.

Mrs Moulketis was a lifetime member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Archangels, having also been a member of the Ladies Philoptoches Society and the Seniors Group. She wrote and arranged numerous hymns for liturgical use, had been the assistant director of the Archangels Choir for the past 48 years, and a member of the choir for ore than70 years. Abiding in these words, she wrote the following: “I lived my life as I chose, with God’s guidance, immersed in my family and relatives, whom I loved dearly.”

A funeral service was celebrated June 18. Interment was at Woodland Cemetery, Woodland Place, Stamford.
