Rising Stars Is Back

The Rising Star Summer Basketball League will return to Treadwell Park in a few short weeks so sign up and register now at the Newtown Parks and Recreation Department (#41020A).

All boys and girls entering grades 6-9 are eligible to play. Rising Stars is a competitive, fun-filled brand basketball played outdoors, two nights a week, beginning in mid July and ending in late August with playoffs and All Star games included.

All players will receive a Rising Stars T-shirt. Teams will be coached and officiated by Newtown High School varsity players and everyone will have equal playing time. Teams are co-ed with age/grade range to form evenly matched and competitive teams.

The emphasis is on fundamentals and can be a very good learning experience for youth basketball players.
