Newtown Rotary Honors May Students Of The Month

Newtown Rotary recognized five students from three Newtown schools as Students of the Month for their exemplary work in the class room and for their service activities to fellow students, teachers and citizens of Newtown.

Rotarian Tony Salvatore, assistant principal of Reed Intermediate School, is in charge of this Rotary project and introduced each of the students to the members, and the families of the students. He was assisted by club President Larry Gardner, who presented the students with their framed certificate.

Students honored for the month of May are Rebecca Grant, grade 5; Kara Clement, grade 6; Don Morrisey, grade 7; Susie Giarratano, grade 8; and Alexander Grier, grade 11.
