Breast Cancer Education Class Slated
DANBURY â A Breast Cancer Education Class will take place at The Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital Wednesday, July 25, from 4 to 5:30 pm. Biweekly classes resume in August, and are conducted on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month.
Breast Cancer Education Classes are for women who have been recently diagnosed with breast cancer and who plan to undergo or recently had breast cancer surgery. Classes takes place in the Ruth C. Donovan Resource Room Library, located on the first floor, Stroock Building.
Park free in the Red Parking Garage, Locust Avenue entrance, and valet parking also is available. Family members and friends are also invited to attend.
The purpose of the Breast Cancer Education Classes is to provide information about what to expect before and after breast cancer surgery. Topics that are addressed include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, treatment side effects management, relaxation techniques, and local support services to assist you and your family.
