Ava Lilly Klaus

A daughter, Ava Lilly Klaus, was born June 7 to Berny and Brooke Klaus of Taylorsville, Ky., at Ireland Army Community Hospital, Fort Knox, Ky.

Ava weighed 8 pounds, 11 ounces and was 20 inches long.

Grandparents are Ellen Klaus and the late Berny Klaus of Newtown and Laurie and Lauren Johnson of Norwich, N.Y.

Paternal great-grandparents are Tom Cunningham of Newtown and Berny and Maria Klaus of Pine Plains, N.Y.

Maternal great-grandparents are Robert and Margaret Dunlop of Belle Haven, Va.

Luca Matthew Johnstone

A son, Luca Matthew Johnstone, was born to Francesca Lemmi and Erik Johnstone of Verona, Italy, on June 8 . Mr Johnstone was a former resident of Newtown.

Luca weighed 8 pounds and was 21 inches in length.

He joins a brother, Thomas, who is 18 months old.

Mr Johnstone’s mother, Jane, was present at the birth, as were the maternal grandparents, Paolo Lemmi and Sarj Mariuzzo of Verona.

Paternal grandparents are Gregg and Jane Johnstone, formerly of Newtown, currently posted to the American Embassy in Canberra, Australia.
