Storm Victim

The high winds that accompanied the electrical storm that blew through Newtown on Wednesday evening brought down a large section of an ancient maple at the corner of the property at 13 Sugar Street. The storm, which claimed numerous trees and branches around town, also knocked out power in some sections of town.
