Space And Aviation Day

HARTFORD — Bradley International Airport will host the third annual Space and Aviation Day on Saturday, June 23, from 10 am to 3 pm.

The free event will take place at four airport sites: the Connecticut Air National Guard, the Connecticut Fire Academy, the New England Air Museum, and the Federal Aviation Administration’s new air traffic control facility. A wide range of family-oriented displays and activities will reflect the space and aviation theme. Parking is free of charge in designated areas.

The activities include a display of military aircraft from bases throughout the country, police dive team, canine unit and SWAT teams, child identification unit, food and refreshments, live fire demonstrations, interactive games, space travel presentations, and tours. All proceeds will be donated to the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, which provides a summer camp experience for children with serious medical conditions.
