The next monthly Saturday Night Open Mic will be Saturday, June 20, from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, in the Great Room at Newtown Congregational Church, 14 West Street.The featured musical guest this month will be vocalist Amy Anyoha, above center, who has performed at previous open mic nights.Saturday Night Open Mic is for high school and middle school youth. Performers in grades 5 and 6 are also welcome. Microphones, keyboard, guitar amp and more will be available.Signup starts at 7:15, and doors open by 7 for those who want to wait to be the first to sign up. Each performance will run about five minutes. Youth under grade six must have a parent or guardian present.Suggested donation is $1.
