VFW Family Picnic, June 28

VFW Post 308 will host its annual Family Public — open to all residents —Saturday, June 28. The fun will begin at 11 am at the post, 18 Tinkerfield Road (off Wassermann Way).

Requested donation is $15 per person, with a $30 cap for families, and admission includes food — burgers, hot dogs, turkey, liver and onions, bacon and eggs, raw clams, chowder, sausage and peppers, salads, corn on the cob, and more — and drinks, including beer and wine, until 5 pm.

There will be ongoing music, and the VFW will be again be setting up a water slide for kids of most ages.

Proceeds from the event will help the VFW to continue helping veterans and their families with any needs they face. For additional information call the post at 426-9316.
