Raising Autism Awareness

To the Editor:

Linda Manna of Newtown Country Mill and I would like to thank all who helped our recent autism fundraiser. We appreciate the continued support of everyone who recognized that autism has become a significant problem — 1-in-150 are diagnosed each day — and that funds are needed to help solve the puzzle.

A special thanks to The Newtown Junior Women’s Club for its generous contribution. It’s heartwarming to know that the women continue to place autism on their list of causes to support. It’s great to count on local organizations to lend support for this increasing complex disorder.

There are already too many children faced with this challenge and many more who will be diagnosed. Together, we can do our part to raise awareness and contribute to solving the puzzle.

Thanks again to everyone who made a donation, or bought a product with a part of the proceeds going to the Autism Awareness Fund.

Sincerely,

Cindy Manning
