Don’t Whine About The

Consequences Of Lawlessness

To the Editor:

In response to Tamarra Kemsley and her letter to the editor, you say your friends are victims of the police department trying to raise funds and fill quotas [“Keeping Us Safe, June 13]. (Mom’s a victim also?) Does this mean they were not breaking the law and were unjustly ticketed or they (and you) think you are above the laws the rest of us abide by?

If people drive within the posted limits and stop for stop signs, they don’t get tickets. They should have some consideration for their friends, neighbors, and other residents of Newtown and slow down. The world is a big scary place were bad things happen to good people all the time, but that does not give them the right to break the law. Pay the fines, lick your wounds, and stop blaming the police for your lawlessness.
