Virginia A.     Sannino

Virginia A. (Worobel) Sannino, 70, of Punta Gorda, Fla., beloved wife of the late Leonard Sannino who predeceased her in death in 2001, died June 11 in Hospice House of Port Charlotte, Fla.

Mrs Sannino was born in Derby on February 28, 1933, a daughter of the late John E. and Mary (Klimkowska) Worobel.

She is survived by a son, Dean L. Sannino of Punta Gorda, Fla.; three sisters, Dorothy Smith and Helen Tomac both of Oxford and Kathleen Albanese of Lake Worth, Fla.; four brothers, Andrew Worobel of Newtown, Walter Worobel of New Bern, N.C., Michael Worobel of Boca Raton, Fla.; and Joseph Worobel of Sandisfield, Mass. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Ann Sannino, and a brother, Stephen Worobel.

She resided in Monroe before moving to Punta Gorda in 1985. She was a former president of E M Graves & Company of Westport, Conn., an investment management firm. She was also a former vice president of EMG Advisors and served on the board of directors. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Punta Gorda.

Funeral Services will take place on June 20 at 10:30 am from the Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike (Route 111), Monroe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am in St Stephen Church, 6948 Main Street, Trumbull. Interment will be in St Michael Cemetery in Stratford.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
