Andy Lapati, Angie Taylor and Brian Burke received a hand-painted picture for winning first place in their age division for the Monday night racing team, which came in third place this year, the teamâs all-time best.
The Connecticut Ski Councilâs On-Snow Carnival, held the first week of March at Okemo, Vermont, had more than 90 club members attending and participating in the many competitions. The club did very well in all of the competitions this year and has become a strong contender. Medals were given to the snowboard racers, (shown in the picture). This year was the first year for the snowboard racing event.
This awards night is the clubâs last event until its picnic, which will be held on September 21st to present the upcoming 2003-04 trip. Watch for notices for that event. All club members and prospective members are welcome.
