The Newtown Junior Women’s Club will hold its first golf tournament on Monday, August 18, at Whitney Farms Golf Club in Monroe. Tee off (four-man scramble) will be at 9 am. There will be prizes - including four hole-in-one prizes (such as a 2003 Harley Davidson). Cost is $135 per golfer and includes 18 holes of golf, cart, continental breakfast, buffet lunch and tournament gifts. Sponsorships are also being sought for platinum ($1,500), gold ($1,000), silver ($600), bronze ($225), hole ($100) and friend ($50) levels.
