Newtown 5, New Canaan (B) 4 â Will Mahony had a hat trick while Joe Bowen and PJ Cochrane (the game winner) had a goal apiece to lead Newtown. Blake Bell provided an assist. Goalie Joe Banno made 16 saves in the contest. Billy Romaniello, Mario Roehrs, Joe Bowen, Ryan Manning, and Ryan Golankiewicz combined for 17 ground balls to spark the defense.
Guilford (B) 9, Newtown 1 â Blake Bell scored the lone goal as Guilford held Newtown to only seven shots. Goalie Joe Banno fought hard making 20 saves in the contest. Ryan Manning led the team by scooping seven ground balls while Drew Gleacher, Ryan Golankiewicz, and Will Mahony added four apiece. The locals ended their season with a 4-4-2 record.

Brookfield 6, Golden Warriors 4 â The Golden Warriors lead throughout the game before falling late to a game Brookfield squad. Austin Bonadio scored twice, and Dave Kreshpan hustled all day on defense to lead Newtown.
Golden Warriors 8, Brookfield 4 â Matt Vavrek, Eric Johnson and Scott Wexler were outstanding on offense, while Haakon Sorensen and Nick Fatse stopped ten shots between them to preserve the win and get payback for the earlier loss to Brookfield.
Golden Wave 10, Watertown 4 â Lewis Thompson had two goals and two assists in the win. Connor Byrne and Max Brazo each had two goals, while Will Northrop (one assist) and Colin Morris (one goal and one assist) were the heartbeat of the midfield as Newtown dominated throughout. Justin Brophy also scored for Newtown. Trey Trudell was magical in the goal, making six first half saves and pushing the ball downfield to his offense. Jeremy Schaniel solidified his defensive leadership, playing the best all-around game of the season and scoring a goal late in the game on a full-field run.
Camel Jam
The Golden Wave made a strong showing at the ultra-competitive Camel Jam, splitting four games to end the season in fine fashion. Wins came against South County, Rhode Island (5-1) and Clinton (11-1). Newtown endured a tough opening loss to a very physical Providence, Rhode Island (8-4) team, and came up short against Westport (2-1) in what was a classic defensive struggle. Colby Summerlin, Will Northrop, Max Brazo, and Colin Morris lead the offense charge, while Jeremy Schaniel, Max Nacewicz and Will Fletcher were once again excellent on the defensive end in support of superb goaltending by Trey Trudell and Justin Spath.
Junior Girls

The Junior Girls dominated at Greenwich and Camel Jam jamborees. The locals were 3-1 in Greenwich, defeating Bedford (6-2), Madison (11-1) and Greenwich White (6-3) and lost to Greenwich Red (6-2).
At the Camel Jam, Newtown defeated Guilford (9-1), East Lyme (9-1) and Larchmont (11-2) and fell to Hamden (4-3) to finish 15-5.
