Emissions Tests

WATERBURY –– The Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles reminds motorists that it will deny registration renewal after September for any vehicle if the required emissions testing has not been done.

In addition, the vehicle owner could receive an infraction for violating the emissions testing law if police stop the vehicle, and receive a $20 late feet when the test finally is done.

This summer Agbar Technologies, Inc, will start sending notices to vehicle owners to schedule emissions tests beginning in September. The tests will be done at local garages.
