Another Successful Lobsterfest

To the Editor:

On behalf of the members of the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Co. Inc, we would like to thank all who attended our 16th Annual Lobsterfest and for making it a great success.

We would like to first thank all of our members, ladies auxiliary, and volunteers who worked very hard to ensure that the event was problem free. Also thank you to Big Y in Newtown for their donation and to Associated Refuse in Newtown for the donation of the dumpster to the event. We would like to thank St Rose Church and Botsford Fire Department for letting us borrow their chairs, and also to J.P. Maguire Associates and the business’s owner James Maguire for the use of their truck and the donation of the corn.

As always we want to thank all of the neighbors of the firehouse on Riverside Road and the surrounding streets for dealing with the traffic and noise of the weekend.

Planning is already under way for the next year’s event and we hope to see everyone then!
