Farmin’ Fever At Beardsley Zoo

BRIDGEPORT — In his one-hour program “Farmin’ Fever,” artist and songwriter Chris Rowlands brings farm life to his audiences through song, dance, colorful backdrops, puppets and audience participation. His songs include “Cud Chewin’” and “Chicken in An Egg Layin’ Factory,” and his audience can pick up simple choruses and movements with each new song.

Mr Rowlands will offer “Farmin’ Fever” to Beardsley Zoo on Saturday, July 6. The 1 pm show is included with regular zoo admission – $7 for adults, $5 for ages 3 to 11, and free for senior citizens and those children 2 and under.

Mr Rowlands has performed all over New England (he was a hit last year at Bridgewater Fair and the year before at CT Department of Agriculture’s Ag Expo at the State Armory in 2000, among other performances) and the Midwest for ten years. His program is being sponsored by Fairfield County Farm Bureau.

Beardsley Zoo, at 1875 Noble Avenue in Bridgeport (signs are posted from the Route 25 connector and I-95), can be contacted by calling 203-394-6565.
