Regional YMCA Summer Day Camps Have Limited Openings

Registration is now open for all regional YMCA summer day camps. All camps have limited spaces and many programs fill quickly. Detailed camp information is available on the Y’s Web site, www.regionalymca.org.

The Greenknoll Day Camp, for children three years old to eighth grade, is at 2 Huckleberry Hill Road in Brookfield. Camp is held in weekly sessions from June 18 to August 24. Regular camp activities are from 9 am to 4 pm. Extended hours are from 7 am to 6:30 pm.

New this year is one convenient inclusive fee with extended care hours included. A half-day schedule is available for pre-schoolers. A Counselor-in-Training is offered for 14 and 15 year olds. For more information call the Y’s Greenknoll Branch at 775-4444.

Summerset Day Camp, for children three years old to eighth grade, is at Wooster School, on Ridgebury Road in Danbury. Camp is held in weekly sessions from June 25 to August 24.

Regular camp activities, extended hours, the convenient inclusive fee with extended care hours and the half-day preschool schedule options are all the same as at the Greenknoll camp. For more information call the Y’s Greenknoll Branch at 775-4444.

The Great Hollow Wilderness Camp, for children ages eight to 13, is on Route 37 in New Fairfield. Camp is held in weekly sessions from July 9 to August 3, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. For more information, call 746-5852.

Grassy Plain Day Camp, for children ages five to 12, is held at the YMCA Children’s Center, 57 Grassy Plains Street in Bethel.

Camp is held in weekly sessions June 18 to August 17. Camp runs weekdays from 9 am to 4 pm, and extended care is available. For more information, call 744-4890.
