Educational, Therapeutic YMCA Camp Is Returning

NEW FAIRFIELD — The Regional YMCA’s Great Hollow Wilderness School, in cooperation with the Center for Attention and Related Disorders, will run the fourth year of CARD Camp, an innovative educational and therapeutic camp for children with ADD and other learning disabilities.

The wilderness camp experience will afford participants the opportunity to improve self-esteem, confidence, and conflict resolution skills. This year’s camp will be co-directed by Pam Samaha, the director of the Center for Attention and Related Disorders.

CARD Camp runs from July 9 to August 3, Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 4 pm. Participants must be between six and 15 years old.

For evaluation and more information, call Ms Samaha at 740-2796. The school is at 225 Route 37 in New Fairfield.
