Command Performance Open House & Anniversary Party Open To Public

DANBURY — Command Performance, greater Danbury’s newest performing arts organization,1 is hosting an informational open house and first year anniversary party for anyone interested in helping to bring the performing arts to the greater Danbury region.

The event is planned for Tuesday, June 26, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. It will be at Two Steps Restaurant, in the downtown/CityCenter section of Danbury at 2 Ives Street.

All interested individuals who would like to get involved and help bring high caliber professional jazz and classical musical events to the greater Danbury area such as Arturo Sandoval, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Diana Krall, Lincoln Center Chamber Orchestra, Carnegie Hall Jazz Band and many more and become involved with these events are invited to find out more about event committees and board opportunities.

Command Performance is getting ready to present the Dizzy™ Gillespie Alumni All Stars featuring Jon Faddle, the director of Carnegie Hall Jazz Band, jazz trumpeteer extraordinaire and apparent “heir” and protégé of the infamous Dizzy Gillespie, on August 23 in Danbury. Details concerning that show will be unveiled soon.

Command Performance is a volunteer non-profit 501(c)-3 organization dedicated to bringing professional classical and jazz musical events to the residents of the greater Danbury region. For more information about the open house event and to RSVP call Steve Pichiarallo at 825-3131.
