At Next SCAN Meeting
The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown will have Jeff Webb as its guest demonstrator on Wednesday, June 27, at 1:30 pm. Mr Webb will be visiting Newtown from Huntington Station, N.Y., and he will be painting a landscape in pastel.
The meeting is open to the public and will be held at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street in Newtown (at the flagpole). Admission is free.
Jeff Webb is a prize-winning artist with many impressive awards to his credit. He is designated a âMaster Pastelistâ with 15 awards from the prestigious Pastel Society of America (PSA). He has won 12 awards from the Salmagundi Club in its member exhibitions, plus many other awards including ones from the National Academy.
Mr Webb received a BFA degree from Pratt Institute of Art. He currently teaches at Nassau Community College, SUNY College at Farmingdale, and at the League of Long Island.
He is represented in many permanent collections. His work has been published in American Artist magazine (July 1997) and also in The Best in Pastel 2 (Rockport Press).
