First Selectman Pat Llodra is calling on qualified or interested residents to consider filling several vacant posts on municipal boards or commissions. There are appointed, not elected, positions.

There are openings on the following panels:

*The Hattertown Historic District has an alternate position available to a Democrat or unaffiliated voter.

*The Charter Communications Advisory Board has an open position for any registered voter.

*The Zoning Board of Appeals has a vacant position available to a Republican or unaffiliated voter.

*The Conservation Commission has a vacant position available to an unaffiliated voter.

*The Fairfield Hills Authority has an open position to any registered voter. The last day to apply is July 5.

*The Inland Wetlands Commission has a vacant position to an unaffiliated voter. The last day to apply is July 29.

*The Commission On Aging has an alternate position open to a Democrat or unaffiliated voter. The last day to apply is July 29.

*The Library Board of Trustees has an open position to any registered voter. The last day to apply is July 29.
