Rock Ridge Senior Club Championship

First Gross: Mike Portnoy

Second Gross: Chris Donohue

First Net: Tom Bartram

Second Net: Ben Spragg

Mike Portnoy had a 36-hole score of 160. Chris Donohue finished a close second. In the net division, Tom Bartram posted a 36 hole net score of 141 to claim first place. Finishing close behind by only one stroke was Ben Spragg.

Rock Ridge Family Scramble

First: Mike, Suzanne, Emily and Jonathan Spicci

Second: Art, MJ, Matthew and Elizabeth Weisgerber

Ladies Wednesday Night Scramble

First: Sarah Cappelli, Lisa LeBlanc, Kathy Fetchick and Lucy Kortze

Second: Carrie Usher, Leslie Trudell, Pam Campbell and Renee McManus

Men’s Thursday Night Quota League Winners

First: Tony Cirone

Second: Cary Kortze and Jeff Fetchick

Tony Cirone posted a +1.5 point score to win. Cary Kortze and Jeff Fetchick tied for second. They are

chasing Lou Rosamilia for the season-long points race to be crowned the 2009 Men’s League Champion.

Rock Ridge PGA McGladrey Local Qualifier (June 7)

First Net: MacAdory Lipscomb, JR Gardner and Frank Colavito

Second Net (tie): Matthew Klein, John O’Connor and Lou Rosamilia & Jack Duffy, Janet Duffy and Frank Gavel.

The PGA McGladrey Tournament is a three-man team event, using 75 percent of the players’ handicap in a net 1 best ball of 3. Top finishers move on to a regional qualifier event played at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell to play with Head Golf Professional Bill Flood in order to gain a spot in the National Tournament at Pinehurst in North Carolina. In a dominating win with a net score of 12 under par 58, Lipscomb, Gardner and Colavito cruised to a first net victory. The team of Klein, O’Connor and Rosamilia tied with the team of Jack and Janet Duffy and Frank Gavel (8 under par 62).

Men’s Thursday Night Quota League Winners

First: JR Gardner

Second: Mike Portnoy

Third (tie): John Gschwind, Dean Harvey and Peter Spanedda Gardner took home first place honors with a +3.5 score. Finishing in a close second, Portnoy posted a +3 point score. Gschwind, Harvey and Spanedda tied for a third place finish.
