*Local guys THE ADULTS return to The Inn at Newtown tonight (June 19).

*Several groups from Connecticut will be part of this year’s Woodbury Ski Area Reggae Fest when it returns to the Route 47 venue next weekend.

It doesn’t get much more local than Sandy Hook, who will be represented by THE SCREW-UPS, a punky-ska band who will be performing on Saturday. Also on the schedule for Saturday are THE POCKET BAND, THE SKANKTONES with Big D, SOUL SHOT featuring Screwdriver, KABBALIST, HARRY ELLIS & THE DEEP INTENTIONS, MO AMBESA and headliner THE MEDITATIONS.

Sunday’s performers will be ERIC SMITH, ANGUILE & THE HIGH STEPPERS, KC TYE, WEST BANK, FOG, SLEDGE, BURNIE T, CUBAN COHIBA, MISTEREE, MAYYAH STUART, NATASHA REDDING and headliner TOK.

The 38th annual offering will take place Saturday and Sunday, June 27-28, running 11 am to 11 pm each day. Daily tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the gate, or weekend passes are $45 and $60 respectively. Call 263-2203 or visit WoodburySkiArea.com for tickets and other details.

In addition to all the music, the ski area will also host its regular offerings which include camping, swimming, skateboarding. Food and arts and crafts vendors will be on site, and coolers are most definitely allowed, as always.

*A programming note this week: During their current Aerosmith’s Guitar hero: Aerosmith Presents North American Summer Tour — which stops at Mohegan Sun Arena on June 28 — AEROSMITH is performing their classic Toys In The Attic album live from front to back, along with an array of hits.

This summer apparently marks the first time that the band has played the eight million-plus selling 1975 disc in its entirety.

A reminder that this concert also will not include guitarist Brad Whitford. Whitford reportedly suffered internal bleeding after hitting his head while getting out of his car earlier this month, one week before the band’s tour kicked off on June 10. He underwent surgery and was advised to stay off the road for a while to allow sufficient recovery time. Bobby Schneck (Geen Day, Weezer) has been performing in his place.

Whitford has said he will return to the stage to perform the second half of the summer tour, but the latest news from the band’s camp, dated June 15, said he hopes to be playing in time for the July 7 concert in Raleigh, N.C.

Meanwhile, tickets for the Connecticut show are $125 and $175 and are available through TicketMaster and the casino’s box office. ZZ TOP will be opening.

*Also from Mohegan Sun this week comes news that COUNTING CROWS, with special guests Michael Franti & Spearhead and Augustana, will be in Uncasville on Saturday, August 29.

Tickets are $45 and $60 and will first be available through TicketMaster Friday morning at 10, and then also available through TicketMaster 24 hours later.

Until next week I’ll be seeing you... on the road.
