Beautiful Lengths

I want to say a big thank you to all the participants in Newtown’s Relay For Life Pantene Beautiful Lengths program. Twenty-three area residents unselfishly donated their hair so that real-hair wigs can be created and distributed for free to women who have lost their hair during cancer treatments.

This year A New Beginning Salon and Day Spa very generously donated their time to sponsor this event. Salon owner Carol St Amand Romer and her stylists did an incredible job and Carol graciously offered each participant a complimentary hair style after the event.

A woman’s hair is an incredible instrument of communication and self-expression. Hair loss can strike an especially crippling blow to women fighting cancer. It is not too early to start planning on growing your hair for next year’s relay. Your pony tail needs to be a minimum of eight inches long. For more information visit www.beautifullengths.com.
