9-year-olds

Grimes Times 17, MSR Rockers 2: Henry Primavera led an offensive explosion with a home run and 6 RBI’s, Pete Debona and Marc Lasorsa pitched well and Jacob Steinbrey contributed 4 hits to lead Grimes Times to an opening playoff victory. Ben Dieckman, Sam Grossano and Joey Conrod played well for MSR.

 

10-year-olds

Attorney Greg LaDestro 4, Addessi Jewelers 1: Jamie Cochrane, Sean Ferris and Owen Samson put together a dominating pitching performance to shut down Adessi Jewelers’ offense and hand the Jewlers their first defeat of the season.

Sean Ferris had an inside the park home run and Lucas LaDestro knocked in two runs with a double and a single to lead the offense.

ONEX 8, Attorney Greg Ladestro 4: Mitchell Savoca and Timmy LeBlanc powered the ONEX offense by collecting two hits apiece, including a triple by Savoca. LeBlanc scored two times.

Matt Campbell reached base three times, including a single, and Spencer Johnson and Dylan Tyrrell each chipped in with hits.

Jack Riley and Matt Carino caught outfield fly balls and Johnson and Tyrrell struck out nine batters over the last four innings of the game.
