The Newtown Parks & Recreation Department has issued user information regarding Eichler’s Cove Beach and Treadwell Pool, due to COVID concerns.

Eichler’s Beach visitation information:

*All members will need a parking permit to enter Eichler’s Cove.

*All members will need to make a reservation on the Omnify reservation system:

(Instructions will be e-mailed to members who have purchased a pool/beach pass, on how to make a reservation.)

*Members will make the reservation under the primary cardholder’s name.

*Upon arrival, members need to check in with the beach attendant where you will check in and will have a health screening.

*Members will be assigned a space to occupy, for a two-hour visit. Parks & Rec is asking that visitors remain in that area for their visit unless they are swimming or leaving the beach.

The Town department is also asking that visitors wear a mask or have one available in the event that social distancing is not possible.

Treadwell Pool Visitation Information:

*Every member must make a reservation on the Omnify reservation system

(Instructions will be e-mailed to members who have purchased a pool/beach pass, on how to make a reservation.)

Note: Unlike Eichler’s Cove, visitors will need to make a reservation for every family member attending the pool.

*Visitors cannot bring a guest or anyone who is not on their membership.

*Masks must be worn by adults and children over 13 unless swimming or rinsing off. (Parks & Rec personnel suggest bringing a plastic bag with each person's name on it to store their mask.)

*All members must arrive in swimsuits.

*Upon arrival a health screen will be conducted before being directed to entering the locker room.

*All members will at that time be guided to the locker rooms within their family grouping.

*All members will be asked to use the hands free system to rinse off in the showers before entering the pool (swimsuits are worn for this).

*Once finished in the locker room, visitors will need their passes to check in theri family member reservation on the pool deck.

Those who need a life vest should request one upon check in. All members are asked to follow the arrows located on the fence and do not stand in the walkways. Members will move clockwise around the pool.

Members will choose a space with a green dot to occupy during their visit. Parks & Rec is asking that visitors do not visit the occupied spaces or of pool visitors.

Once a visit has ended all visitors will be guided to exit through the locker room, where they can rinse off (swimsuits are worn for this), but they will not be permitted to shower or change.

These will be considered family locker rooms and patrons are to move through. No seating or lockers will be available.
