A Successful Lobsterfest

To the Editor:

We would like to thank all of the patrons who came out this past Friday and Saturday to support our 23rd Annual Lobsterfest. It was a huge success and it was nice to see familiar faces along with some new ones this year! We would like to thank Newtown Color Center, Chartwells, JP Maguire & Associated Refuse for their donations to our event. We also would like to thank the Newtown Fire Marshal’s office, Drug Center and The Newtown Bee for allowing us to sell tickets.

Thank you to Maureen Will for allowing the firefighters to park their vehicles on her property. A great big thank you goes out to our neighbors for putting up with the extra noise this weekend. We appreciate it!!

We would like to thank all the nonmembers of Sandy Hook Fire and Rescue for giving up their free time to work for us, which includes members of other fire companies in town, employees of Park & Rec and members’ family members. Last but not least, thank you to the Ladies Auxiliary, Junior Corps, and all of our members who worked very hard all week and weekend to make this even successful.

Mark your calendar...Lobsterfest 2011 is June 10 and 11!
