NANTUCKET, MASS. — Alastair Crawford, LLC, a New York City-based dealer that exclusively sells vintage Georg Jensen sterling silver hollowware, flatware and jewelry, will open a store here on the island this summer.

No stranger to Nantucket, after exhibiting on the island for the past four years and developing a loyal and rapidly growing clientele here, opening a second location, at 3 Old South Wharf, is the next step in his company’s growth.

“I love this island,” said Alastair Crawford, “and it is so rewarding to be here and have the opportunity to meet new and existing clients in an idyllic and relaxed setting.” Alastair Crawford, LLC, is also a sponsor of Nantucket Race Week.

The firm specializes in vintage items that were all originally handmade in Copenhagen, Denmark. (where the Georg Jensen Company is based) by master craftsmen. Alastair Crawford, LLC is also the largest importer for new silver hollowware and flatware purchased wholesale from the Georg Jensen Company, Denmark.

Among the items for sale at the Nantucket store will be a substantial single collection of Georg Jensen hollowware that has recently been acquired, a large range of sterling flatware in patterns that are both in and out of production and an assortment of fine Georg Jensen jewelry, including rare gold pieces. Styles encompass Art Nouveau, Art Deco and designs from the 1960s. “There is something for everyone,” Crawford says. Prices will range from $500 to $100,000.
